DIY Mini Easter Baskets

I made these super cute mini baskets for Evie's class for their upcoming Easter party.  I am so excited to share this DIY with you because I love the way these little babies turned out!

I hopped on over to Michael's with my 40% off coupon and a budget of $20.   I found these precious paper berry baskets for $7.99-- ($4.79 with my coupon) and some adorable packs of spring decorations for just $2 each.  This project costs under $15 and took 40 minutes to complete.  10 baskets made for just under $1.50 each!

Materials needed:

1 pack of berry baskets
1 pack of pipe cleaners
1 bag of Easter grass
3 packs of decorations
1 pack of trim (each strand is long enough for 2 baskets)
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Knife or ice pick
Scissors

How to make a basket:
  1. Puncture a small hole on each side of the basket with a knife.
  2. Thread the pipe cleaner through the hole and wrap around each side to create handle.
  3. Cut trim/ribbon in half.  (they're 36 in. long and you only need approximately 18 in. per basket)
  4. Glue trim around edge of basket.
  5. Glue decoration to the front of basket.
  6. Add grass to basket and you are done!

Aren't they adorable?!  Evie girl will have a blast filling up these baskets with candy for all of her sweet little friends!

Happy spring everyone!

Sloane
