Wednesday Wish List
Happy Wednesday, friends! I don't know about you, but now is typically the time when I get the itch to refresh my wardrobe for the summer. It is probably because it is already sweltering in south Louisiana and it makes me wonder why I am wearing anything but shorts or dresses. I popped into one of my favorite stores the other day (J. Crew Factory) and found so many cute pieces! I couldn't buy everything unfortunately, but here is my complete wish list... Every single one of these items will definitely get you through the warmer days looking trés chic!

House Progress
Hello friends! As promised, I will finally post pictures of our new house! Hopefully you have a good imagination and can picture the potential because this little house needs SO much T.L.C. and paint, lots of paint. Since this isn't our forever home, we will be renovating with a very modest budget. All of the work will be completed by my handsome hubby and myself with the exception of the plumbing..

Cajun Pepper Steak
Hi guys! I hope your week is going well so far. I made one of my favorite crock pot recipes last week that I know you all will love! It can be served over rice, pasta or potatoes. I actually eat it alone and it is just as delicious!
cajun pepper steak
2 lb beef sirloin, cut into 2 inch strips
garlic powder to taste
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 large green bell peppers roughly chopped
1 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes (with liquid)
1 can rotel
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the seasoned strips. Transfer to slow cooker.
Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, rotel, soy sauce, sugar and salt.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. Makes 6 servings.
* I used 1/3 of Guidry's seasoning container instead of chopping up the veggies..
Try it out and let me know what you think!
Have a fabulous week!

Wallpaper Picks for Evie's Bathroom
Howdy friends! We are currently in the design/deconstruction stage for the bathrooms in the new house. The plumbers are currently busting through the concrete slab to re-route our plumbing and Dustin has totally gutted the both bathrooms so we can start with a clean slate. Agh!! So much going on at once but so exciting!
We will have Evie's bathroom finished first, so I have been running around like a crazy Momma trying to get the best lighting/fixture/tile options. Since Evie's bathroom will be on the smaller side, I think using wallpaper will make the biggest statement. The hubby disagrees but like the saying goes..happy wife, happy life. Sorry, babe.
Wall paper has come a long way these days and now there are a plethora of super affordable temporary styles. This is not your granny's wallpaper. So easy to use and remove later when you are tired of looking at the same old print. Here are some of the fun prints that I am considering:
Which one is your favorite? Happy Tuesday!!
