My Favorite Spring Fragrances: Antica Farmacista

I recently discovered the fabulous fragrance line, Antica Farmacista, after receiving some of their products for Christmas and I was completely hooked.  The Damascena Rose, Orris & Oud Hand Cream has been my #1 favorite!  It smells like heaven and leaves your hands feeling so silky without the greasiness that most moisturizes leave behind.  If you have not tried it yet, you NEED it in your life! Trust me.

I am a huge fragrance/candle junkie so you can imagine how delighted I was whenever they reached out to me to try some of their new Spring products.  After trying them all, it is safe to say that this brand is pure luxury and beyond compare.

I really go overboard with fall scents around the holidays, so receiving this Cucumber & Lotus Flower Candle was just what I needed.  It is a crisp, clean scent that makes me feel automatically refreshed after a long day.  I enjoy lighting this candle in the Kitchen/Living Room area and using the Room Spray in the Bathrooms.

The Fig Leaf Hand & Body Wash is SO yummy.  This blend of fig, sandalwood and amber is perfection and will be my new go-to hand wash for the Kitchen!  It's a great neutral scent that even my Husband doesn't mind using.. win, win!

So many of their products would make amazing gifts for birthdays and special occasions-they even have Men fragrances!  I may or may not have already picked out my own Mother's Day gift....Oops!!!

Happy first day of Spring!

The Hunt for Budget-Friendly Curtains

Hi there!

We have officially been in the new house for 8 months now and I have yet to find curtain rod/ curtains for our Living Room.  Nothing like doing your workout video at night in the living room where the entire neighborhood can see!  The Hubs made a comment about it the other night and I realized that I really need to bite the bullet and find some ASAP.  The problem is, I am not a curtain girl......I am more like a lamp/ chair / throw pillow / accessory kind of girl!  Take me to any store, and I promise I can find one of those items that I like and will most likely take home with me.  Curtains, on the other hand, are a colossal challenge!  Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the beauty of custom drapery and gorgeous fabric/trim... I just can't make myself spend over $100 on uno curtain panel.  No, thank you.  Not when I need at least 4 of those babies for our ten foot window.

*Disclaimer*  I am talking about simple solid curtain panels.  If I were looking for printed curtains, I would definitely splurge!  Designer fabric is the best option for prints, in my opinion.

Here's my Top 5:

Threshold Farrah Curtains $20.99

West Elm $69

I will probably order one of each to figure out which fabric works best with our lighting.  I will let you guys know which one is the winner!!

Happy Saturday!

10 Easter Tablescape Ideas

Hey guys!  I am so thrilled that Spring is finally here! I know technically it is 2 weeks away but the weather has been amazing and Easter is quickly approaching!  The time between Christmas and Easter always proposes a decorating challenge for me because the house feels SO bare without my Christmas decor.  Mardi Gras follows closely after but I will be totally honest and say Mardi Gras decor is not my jam, so I like to fast forward straight to Spring/Easter!

I found my favorite 10 tablescapes for a little inspiration....All of these are so well done and are MAJOR eye candy......Enjoy!

Happy decorating!!

DIY Vanity Light

I have had so many people ask about Evie's bathroom light lately and realized that I forgot to make a detailed post about it after the big bathroom REVEAL.  I looked for weeks on end for an affordable brass barnyard inspired wall sconce... Long story short, I never could find one under $150...This Restoration Hardware sconce was my favorite from day one.  Especially after putting it onto the design board, but could not get myself to spend that much on a bathroom vanity light. ($219)

We decided that we would attempt to paint a fixture to achieve the look we were shooting for in order to stay within our budget.  I found this sconce at Home Depot for $30 and hoped and prayed it would be a close match after a pretty little paint job.

We used my go-to spray paint, Design Master, in Brilliant Gold.  (Also used on our DIY gold bracket shelving!)

Lighting is such an important element in any room, so I was nervous the sconce would be lackluster and look cheap-y.  However, I really do think it turned out fabulous!  Especially since we saved almost $200! What do you think?!

Thanks for stopping by, friends!!

Master Bathroom Inspiration

Since we have been renovating the kitchen for a while now, I decided I needed a change of scenery and should start looking for inspiration for our Master Bathroom.  If you forgot what the gorgeous before picture of the bathroom looked like, see HERE.

We took down a wall to expand the square footage of this room because the old bathroom literally was the size of a broom closet.  You could turn on the sink faucet and bathtub faucet simultaneously while sitting on the toilet. It was horrible!!  The room is currently stripped down to the studs and awaiting sheet rock installation.  I am so excited for a new/ clean/ bigger bathroom!

I rounded up my favorite bathrooms that I have pinned throughout the last couple of months.  There are all pretty similar...Bright spaces with an eclectic feel... I am in love with these patterned artisan floor tiles right now and would not mind a beautiful herringbone tile floor either.  Sorry, babe!  All of those tile cuts will be brutal but SO worth it!!

Key Elements:

bright white walls

statement floor

claw foot tub

mixed metal fixtures

Looks like I need to start looking for an antique claw foot tub...Thanks for keeping up with our renovation journey, friends!

Kitchen Island Lighting

Happy New Year, lovelies!

We've spent the first week and a half of the new year organizing and purging and it feels great!  I really should be banned from online shopping for Evangelene's clothes.  I took pictures of most of her baby clothes that was only worn once and will try to list it on Ebay.  Has anyone had success doing this or advice?!?  I will donate some of it but can't part with many items that are nicer and only worn one time.

Moving on to the house renovation...I have been obsessively online shopping for lighting lately (shocker!) and was pleasantly surprised by how many affordable designer options there are out there.  We need pendants for our kitchen island and I really want them to be bold statement pieces.  All of these are gorgeous and are all under $250....#4 is only $24.99!  Such a steal!

1. wayfair  $146

2. lamps plus $202

3. lighting direct $234

4. ikea $24

6. wayfair $149

7. schoolhouse electric $216

Which one would you choose?  I am really digging the globe pendants...It will be so hard to pick!
