The Hunt for Budget-Friendly Curtains

Hi there!

We have officially been in the new house for 8 months now and I have yet to find curtain rod/ curtains for our Living Room.  Nothing like doing your workout video at night in the living room where the entire neighborhood can see!  The Hubs made a comment about it the other night and I realized that I really need to bite the bullet and find some ASAP.  The problem is, I am not a curtain girl......I am more like a lamp/ chair / throw pillow / accessory kind of girl!  Take me to any store, and I promise I can find one of those items that I like and will most likely take home with me.  Curtains, on the other hand, are a colossal challenge!  Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the beauty of custom drapery and gorgeous fabric/trim... I just can't make myself spend over $100 on uno curtain panel.  No, thank you.  Not when I need at least 4 of those babies for our ten foot window.

*Disclaimer*  I am talking about simple solid curtain panels.  If I were looking for printed curtains, I would definitely splurge!  Designer fabric is the best option for prints, in my opinion.

Here's my Top 5:

Threshold Farrah Curtains $20.99

West Elm $69

I will probably order one of each to figure out which fabric works best with our lighting.  I will let you guys know which one is the winner!!

Happy Saturday!

  1. Great options! I hear ya, for linen or solid curtain panels I like budget friendly, and usually add some trim to spice them up but pattern fabric... designer all the way!!!!

    1. Thanks girl! I am hoping to jazz up an Ikea pair for our living room-- hoping it comes out decent-looking!

  2. Well, in my opinion, is the right place to look for budget-friendly curtains and fabric for upholstery.
